The Independent Creative
The Independent Creative is a pet project of Protozoa Design. We wanted to facilitate opportunities for support, dialog and growth among those working as independent creatives or in small shops.
Initially T.I.C.'s presence existing as a solitary page on Facebook but it quickly gained exposure from other local organizations. We realized there was a need to have a formal online presence. In doing so, the site was designed to showcase local creatives while providing an outlet for discussion beyond the twice a month meetings. In addition, posters were created and posted in area coffee shops and store fronts to promote the site and the gatherings themselves.
Currently, The Independent Creative boasts a wide variety of creatives, from puppeteers and painters to writers and photographers.
